Did You Know? Interactive Optimizer SliderWheels

Did you know the Interactive Optimizer in TracePro features a SliderWheel capability? SliderWheels are commonly used in our OSLO lens design program and now they are available in the Interactive Optimizer in TracePro. SliderWheels allow you to dynamically vary parameters in real time. Many of the parameters in the Interactive Optimizer can be assigned to SliderWheels, including, segment and control points, curvature, conic constant, periodic feature parameters, draft angle, thickness, aspheric terms, refractive index, Fresnel lens parameters, and others.

SliderWheels can be applied to one or more parameters.

SliderWheels can be used with the real time ray tracing in the Interactive Optimizer to allow users to dynamically change parameters of an optical element and view the results of these changes in real time.

This capability is extremely useful when setting up an initial design for optimization. It allows the user to get the design close to the desired goal. This will save time and improve the accuracy of the optimization process.

SliderWheels give you the ability to quickly and easily change parameters of optical elements in the Interactive Optimizer, speeding up the design and optimization process.
