Did You Know? Interactive Optimizer Realtime Raytracing

Did you know the Interactive Optimizer in TracePro features a real time ray tracing capability? Some of the surface profile types in the Interactive Optimizer allow for real time ray tracing. This capability allows you to change the parameters of an optical element, or an optical system, and see the changes in the raytrace in real time. Single rays can be traced as well as fans and arrays of rays.

The color of the rays as well as the spacing between rays for ray arrays and the angle between rays for ray fans can be changed. Multiple sources can also be used.

Realtime raytracing in the Interactive Optimize allows you to dynamically change your model in the Interactive Optimizer and see the results of those changes immediately. This can help you get to your optimized solution faster and more accurately.
