How can I resolve the License Failure resulting from the System Time message?

Synopsis

License failure - System Time between Computer and CmContainer differs by too much

Symptoms

The licensing software has a method to test that the computer time is correct so temporary licenses expire on the correct date. 

System Time is the computer time.

CmContainer Time is the most recent verified tim by the licencing software.

If the computer has an internet connection, this CmContainer Time should update automatically.

If the computer does not have an internet connection, or is not able to access a CodeMeter Time Server, the error message may occur and the software is blocked from launching.

Solution 

  1. If the computer has an internet connection, please follow these steps:
  • launch CodeMeter Control Center (Windows Start Menu|CodeMeter)
  • (verify that your license number appears)
  • select Web Admin button
  • select Container|All Containers (your license number)
  • select CmContainer Info
    • note the 3 times
    • if Certified Time is not accurate, select the Update icon to the right
2.  Reboot the computer
