This error message may appear during the TracePro installation:
The files for Installation Requirement XXX could not be found. The installation will now stop. This is probably due to a failed or canceled download.
After selecting OK, items may be listed with a status of failed or pending, possibly including:
- CodeMeter
- SlimDX
- DirectX
- Notepad++
- Microsoft Visual YYYY Redistributable Package
Solution
Several required software components are installed with TracePro. Although the message suggests that a download may have failed, the TracePro installer includes the full installer for each item.
The probable cause is that antivirus or security software has identified the installer as a threat and is blocking the installation. One possible solution is to disconnect from the internet for security, disable the software, then try the TracePro installation again.
