The final course in our online TracePro training series, TracePro 201, begins next week. This two-session online course focuses on optimization techniques that help users improve optical performance and build more effective TracePro models.
TracePro 201 is designed for users who already have experience with TracePro and want to develop a stronger understanding of the Interactive Optimizer. The course covers both the theory behind optimization and practical examples that show how optimization workflows can be applied to real optical systems.
During the first session, participants will be introduced to the optimization process, including how to create geometry, define variables, and work with optimization operands. The second session focuses on model setup, defining optimization targets, positioning optimizer objects, setting analysis tools, and reviewing examples involving lenses, reflectors, light guides, and tolerancing.
The course will take place online on June 9 and 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EDT each day. This corresponds to 16:00 to 18:00 CEST for attendees in Europe.
A digital copy of the course notes will be provided. Attendees who wish to complete the examples during class must provide their own TracePro license.
