Synopsis
Wavelength error in ProSource generated Ray Files
Symptoms
Many manufacturers make TracePro ray files available from their websites. Many of these rays files originated from source measurements made by Radiant Imaging that were converted to TracePro Ray Files by Radiant Imaging's ProSource software. We are aware that some versions of the ProSource software have a bug related to the wavelength units; they have wavelengths defined in nm instead of um, so the wavelength appearing in the TracePro File Source dialog is 1000x the correct value.
Workaround
TracePro has a feature you can use to correct these ray files: Define|Ray File Wavelength Editor. See TracePro online help for its use.
Solution
Use the Ray File Wavelength Editor to scale the wavelengths in the file, accessed at Define|Ray File Wavelength Editor. See TracePro online help for its use. We encourage you to report this issue to the manufacturer where you downloaded the ray file.
