Adding terms to an aspheric surface

Solution

1. Identify the surface that you want to add an aspheric to and choose the grey box in the "Special" column of that surface.
2. Choose " Polynomial Asphere (A)" from the pop-up list
3. If you want to add a conic constant to the surface choose " Conic/Toric" from the resulting pop-up list
4. If you want to add higher order aspheric terms to the surface, choosing " Standard Asphere" will allow you to enter a sufficient number of higher order aspheric terms for most purposes. (Note that other forms of aspheric surfaces are available)
