Did you know? DLLs in TracePro

Did you know TracePro Expert can use DLLs? DLLs are Dynamic Linked Libraries. The DLL capability is available for both Surface and Bulk Scatter properties. To use these properties a user needs to create a DLL which will perform the calculations and define the property in the property editor. This property can then be applied to surfaces or objects in TracePro.

Some examples of existing DLLs in TracePro include the Moxtek polarizing beam splitter surface properties and the new PlanOpSim metasurface surface properties.

Chapter 7 of the TracePro User Manual includes information on DLLs, including definitions, syntax, and examples. The TracePro User Manual can be downloaded from the Lambda Research Corporation website, lambdares.com. It can also be found in TracePro at Help->TracePro User Manual. Source files for creating DLLs are also available on the Lambda Research Corporation website.

The ability to use DLLs in TracePro Expert gives users the flexibility to create new Surface and Bulk Scatter properties that can be used to expand the capabilities of TracePro.
