Whenever I perform an analysis in OSLO, OSLO analyzes the on-axis field point. How do I perform an analysis for an off-axis field point?

Synopsis

Performing analysis for an off-axis field point

Solution

"For many analyses options in OSLO, you can choose a particular field point when you are choosing the analysis: FOR EXAMPLE: See the OSLO menu item "Evaluate>>Spread Function>>Plot PSF Scans" and note the "Set Object Point" button within the resulting dialog. For some analysis options in OSLO, you can choose a particular field point when you update the analysis: FOR EXAMPLE: After performing the previous analysis, right-click anywhere in the graphics window and choose "Re-calculate using new parameters" from the pop-up list. This results in the same analysis setup dialog seen previously where you can choose the "Set Object Point" to allow the analysis to be performed on another field point. For all analysis options in OSLO, you can choose a particular field point by typing the appropriate command on the command line: FOR EXAMPLE: Note that if you choose "Evaluate>>Wavefront>>Map" from the OSLO menu, you get an analysis setup dialog that does not include the option to set the field point for the analysis. To set the field point to 0.85 of the full field, type "SOP 0.85" on the command line (SOP stands for Set_Object_Point). Then perform the "Evaluate>>Wavefront>>Map" analysis as before. "
