Question

OSLO crashes when certain analyses are performed on a system containing a non-sequential surface (NSS) group. What is wrong?

Synopsis

Program crashes when some analyses are performed on non-sequential systems

Symptoms

"Crashes usually occur when evaluating system operands ("ope" on the command line), or performing distortion analyses ("distplt" on the command line)."

Workaround

Remove the Aperture Stop surface from within the non-sequential surface (NSS) group. The easiest way to do this is to create a dummy surface just before the NSS group and make this the Aperture Stop surface.

Solution

This bug has been noted and a correction will be made in a future release of OSLO.

Non-sequential surface groups are only available in OSLO Premium
