OSLO License works OK when logged onto PC as Administrator, but fails when logged in as a User

Question

The OSLO License works OK when logged onto PC as Administrator. Why does it fail when logged in as a User?

Synopsis

OSLO License works OK when logged onto PC as Administrator, but fails when logged in as a User

Solution

Each time OSLO is launched, it attempts to read the license information from the last OSLO session from a file named "license.ini". This file is located at:
  • Windows 7 - C:UsersPublicDocumentsOSLO Premium
  • Windows XP - C:Documents and SettingAll UsersDocumentsOSLO Premium
The user needs both read and write privileges for this folder, it reads the file when OSLO is launched and writes a new .ini file when OSLO is exited. Request that your IT Rep grant read-write privileges to the OSLO Premium directory.
