Question
I have created a lens system that includes a Diffractive Surface described by Zernike coefficients. I note that term #32 of the Asymmetric Zernike Phase terms appears too large. Is this term calculated correctly?
Synopsis
Incorrect calculation of Zernike Phase term #32
Solution
The Asymmetric Zernike Phase term #32 on a Diffractive Surface is calculated incorrectly in OSLO releases 6.2 and earlier. Lambda Research has corrected this in all OSLO updates 6.2.1 and later.
If you are using an OSLO update or release later than 6.2.1, you do not have to worry about this error. Please note that OSLO 6.2.1 is considered an update and not a general release it was therefore not automatically sent to existing customers. If you are currently using OSLO 6.2 and need the OSLO 6.2.1 update
Diffractive Surfaces described by Asymmetric Zernike Phase terms is a feature that is only available in OSLO Premium
