Question

When I want to save the work of TracePro into the IGES/STEP format, a message appears that tells me no such feature exists, and another message tells me that IGES/STEP Translator is required for data translation. One other problem is that when I save the work of TracePro as a SAT file, even so, I can not open it with AutoCAD 2000 because only dwg, dxf and dwt files can be opened.

Synopsis

CAD Translation

Solution

The IGES and STEP Translators are add-on features of TracePro that you did not purchase as part of your license. However, since AutoCAD 2000 and TracePro are both ACIS based applications, the SAT file format is the better choice for transferring files between ACIS and AutoCAD. To open the SAT file in AutoCAD, you need to select File / Import from the menu.
