Lambda Research Corporation is offering two upcoming instructor-led online training courses for TracePro users.
TracePro 101: Introduction to TracePro will be held on July 7–8, 2026. This course is designed for new users and provides a practical introduction to building and analyzing models in TracePro. Topics include the TracePro user interface, importing CAD and lens design files, creating models, applying properties, defining sources, running raytraces, and analyzing results using tools such as irradiance/illuminance maps, candela plots, luminance/radiance maps, and photorealistic rendering.
TracePro 102: Beyond the Basics will be held on July 15–16, 2026. This course is intended for users who have completed TracePro 101 or already have experience with the software. Topics include custom properties, raytrace settings, user preferences, Importance Sampling, diffraction, polarization, and an introduction to macro programming with Scheme.
Each class is delivered online in two-hour sessions from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM EDT / 16:00–18:00 CEST. Attendees receive a digital copy of the course notes. Those wishing to complete the examples during class should have access to their own TracePro license.
