Attend our webinar on the latest tips and tricks for doing Stray Light Analysis and Design of Optical Imaging Systems
- When: Wednesay, March 29th, 2017 EDT
- How: Sign-up on the NASA Tech Briefs site
- Who should attend: Anyone interested in stray light evaluation
- Presenter: Dr. Edward Freniere – over 30 years of stray light experience
Stray light is an age-old problem for optical systems. Fortunately, software tools available today for the optical designer enable quick and accurate characterization of stray light.
This Webinar will provide a brief overview of stray light analysis and design of optical imaging systems, and show how the advanced features in the TracePro software for opto-mechanical design and analysis makes this task easy and fun.
Topics to be covered include: choice of optical design to minimize stray light, design of optimal sunshades and baffles, and how to use analysis features such as irradiance maps, candela plots, ray sorting, and path sorting to diagnose stray light problems and accurately predict stray light.
