opsira Luminance Measurement Systems

luminance measurement systemluca, opsira’s spatially resolving luminance measurement system is used for development as well as for quality control of optical systems.

luca is a camera-based photometric measurement system and is used for measurement of the spatially resolved luminance and illuminance distributions as well as for the high resolution measurement of luminous intensity distributions (LID). The add-on luca’color enables also color measurements.

opsira GmbH is the producer of the luca system and delivers the systems for the use in laboratories as well as for production control. In several measuring labs we carry out light measurements for our customers.

luca records data that can be used for the simulation and the development of optical systems. Illuminances and luminous intensity distributions can be recorded and analyzed with our luca'lux system add-on. luca provides a wide range of application because of its nearly six orders of dynamic range. The system very quickly measures objects of very low luminance (only a few cd/m2) as well as extremely powerful light sources such as high-pressure discharge lamps. The system cameras operate in a 12-Bit mode (software supported up to 20-Bit) and their detectors can be cooled if necessary while their optics contains precision lenses from LINOS/Rodenstock. Our powerful control and evaluation software, luca’tool, is available for all metrology systems.luca'color camera

In addition to luminance measurements, our luca'color system measures the spatially resolved color distribution; however, it captures the spatially resolved planar image in one shot and not in a selective way like a standard-colorimeter. The system includes an integrated filter wheel with ten filter positions that allows a direct measurement of color values according to CIE. Chromaticity coordinates and color difference values are delivered directly by user-specified evaluation labels.

Additional multiple weighting functions are possible because of the ten total filter positions.
